This is amazing as I am doing research, and just read yesterday that White Christmas went to #1 in 1942, but Bing Crosby was not credited. It was the orchestra, John Scott Trotter! The So called Ken Darby singers changed over time, and it is one of those things that is not a real entity, though eventually someone did take the name Ken Darby and became a movie executive for Rodgers and Hammerstein. He created a falsified history in the library of congress, creating an album from old stock mono recordings of spirituals of John Charles Thomas, whom I recently proved on YouTube to be Joseph Toner (see IBDB-in the circus princess, those who know the song "open road, open sky" is really the same part and person (dual identity thing) of prince Alexis orloff and Ivan Panini. Kalman. Well Darby took hundreds of recordings after the supposed death of John Charles Thomas to UK, and created a stereo album including an into by the voice of the new face of John Charles Thomas.
