My copy of the split single is noisy, dirty and overall seems a bad pressing. The music is great nonetheless, but I can not recommend this.
Got a second copy (thanks to the generous label) was better, but still not clear and clean. But had not time to wash the copy.
Mine sounds fine, perhaps you got a bad press? I don't notice any of the issues you are describing.
