Such is the case when it comes to the 1970 album by Takeshi Inomata & Sound Limiteds Sounds of Sound . created by one of Japans most renowned and influential jazz drummers. Yes, this is an old album, another album that far too many missed on its release, though Inomata was recognized in 1957 as Swing Journal Magazines new drummer of the year. To say that his sounds are enthusiastic would be an understatement, to say that is music is boundless might inch you closer to the truth though I would also add mysterious to those descriptors. So my record sounds great but Theme~Mustache just breaks off near the end instead of fading, not sure if it is right, and also Tak's Tune has lots of skips. No issues on side BA bit disappointed, but I still love the music
When you say skips, do you mean the needle skips? Curious as looking to purchase a copy - thanks!
Mine does the same. Assuming it's intentional? I've not heard any other pressing.
I was also curious about the abrupt ending on Theme~Mustache so I inquired with Universounds and this is what they told me..."It's not a mistake with the pressing. The original 1970 pressing also cut suddenley before end of the song. BUT, in test pressings / promotion copies of 1970 original pressing, the song is faded out. It's noted in the original liner notes. After listened to the test pressing, Takeshi Inomata decided to do that."
